The faster the processor the faster it will help in aiding the video card in making billions of polygons every seconds for Massively Multiplayer Online Role-playing Games (MMORPGs) and first-person shooter games and similar to those. And right now the best running processor are from Intel are six-core or quad-core processors
The latest one from Intel is the Sandy Bridge processor, which are the best. These silicon chips are not yet out but expected to be out by Q2 of 2012.
Your game?s seamless play is does not only depends on processor but also on the video card it is supporting on, and NVIDIA and ATI are most popular graphics card companies amongst gamers. 'Kissing Bugs' May Suck Surprising Amount of American Blood
Americans may be more at risk for a parasitic infection known as Chagas disease than thought, indicates a study that found a surprisingly high number of so-called kissing bugs had fed on human blood.
Triatomine bugs earned their nickname by biting people on the face to suck blood at night, and the bugs can carry a parasite called Trypanosoma cruzi, which causes the potentially life-threatening Chagas.
By examining 13 bugs collected in Arizona and California, a team of researchers found that five of the insects were infected with the parasite, and ? more surprisingly ? five of the 13 had fed on human blood. (None of the bugs that had fed on humans also carried the parasite.) This finding, detailed in the April 2012 issue of the journal Emerging Infectious Diseases, suggests that the 11 species of kissing bugs in the southern United States may feed on human blood more often than thought.?
"The bugs are here, they are feeding on people. We should be aware of that, because once you are aware of them it is fairly easy to protect yourself from them," said Lori Stevens, the lead study researcher and a professor at the University of Vermont.
Their results also suggest there are unreported cases of Chagas transmitted by the insects in the United States, Stevens said, noting that doctors are becoming more aware of the problem. Chagas can also be spread by contaminated blood, organ donation, by infected mothers to their unborn babies, and through contaminated food, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The insects that spread Chagas live only in the Americas, mainly in poor, rural parts of Latin America. In Mexico, Central and South America, an estimated 8 million to 11 million people are infected.
Meanwhile, the bugs live throughout the southern two-thirds of the United States, but documented cases of insect-transmitted disease are rare, according to the CDC. Though the researchers still suspect transmission of Chagas to humans is low, Chagas disease is easily missed. Initial symptoms can be vague, if they occur at all, and can include fever, fatigue, body aches, headache, rash, loss of appetite, diarrhea and vomiting. The most recognized marker is called Roma?a's sign, which includes swelling of the eyelid on one side of the face.
Without treatment, these symptoms usually fade, but life-threatening cardiac and intestinal complications can develop. The bug's saliva can also cause severe allergic reactions.
To determine what the kissing bugs had bitten, the researchers used a technique that is used at crime scenes to determine whether blood belongs to a human or animal, according to Stevens.? Using blood from the bugs' abdomens, they looked for DNA (the genetic code called deoxyribonucleic acid) specific to vertebrates.
Once they had found vertebrate DNA, they looked more closely to determine to what sort of animal it had belonged. They found that the kissing bugs had fed not only on humans, but on dogs, wood rats, chickens and pigs. Finding that five of the 13 bugs from two species they sampled had the parasite wasn't such a surprise; earlier research had shown an infection rate of 67 percent among one species of the bugs.
But finding that a different five bugs had fed on humans suggests there is greater potential for transmission to humans than previously thought, the researchers write in their study.
Unlike, say, a mosquito carrying malaria, Chagas disease isn't transmitted directly by the insect's bite; rather the parasite travels in the insect's feces. There are numerous species of kissing bugs, and those in Latin America are thought to spread the disease much more readily because they defecate while sucking blood out of a host. Species farther north tend not to defecate when they eat. This difference may explain why the disease is so much more prevalent farther south. ?
Housing in rural Latin America, made with mud, adobe, straw and thatch, also probably provides better habitat for the bugs than the tighter construction of homes in the United States.
To keep the bugs out, make sure you have screens on your windows, and, if you are camping seal your tent. Also, remove piles of rocks or debris that could house the insects, Stevens said.

How to: Track Down Journal Articles Cited in News Stories (When They Don?t Link Directly)
I?ll admit it: I don?t read a lot of scholarly, scientific journal articles. I keep up with interesting science news via blogs, news articles and Twitter headlines. News stories can also be a great way for students to select scientific research topics. Sometimes the news is so interesting that I want to know more. My first stop is sometimes the original journal article that the blog post or news story was based on ? the original article can provide additional information and additional related sources. But first you need to find it.
Many blog posts will link directly to a version of the original article, but many news sources often have a policy of not linking to the original source. Even when a blog links directly to the original article, you may not be able to read it without paying. But there are steps you can take to find the original article, and to find a version of it you can read.
If a direct link isn?t provided, the first step is to identify the journal the article was published in, and the publication date. News articles typically report this information a few paragraphs into the article. For example, a recent news article from The New York Times identified the original source in this way:
Sifrhippus shrank from about 12 pounds average weight to about eight and a half pounds as the climate warmed over thousands of years, a team of researchers reported in the journal Science on Thursday.
You need to find the issue of the journal Science published in the same week as the news story in The New York Times.
A quick Google search can usually locate the journal?s website (for searching really short journal titles it?s helpful to add the word ?journal?). There, you can identify the exact article that the news story is about by finding the right issue.
News stories sometimes include the authors of the original source, but almost never include original article titles, making things a bit trickier. The original article title might actually be a difficult to recognize: scientific articles are not known for having clear, easily readable titles. So the goal, when scanning the list of article titles, is to pick out a few major concepts to get you to the item you want. In the case of the article above, the authors are discussing climate change and an ancient horse. The article title turns out to be ?Evolution of the Earliest Horses Driven by Climate Change in the Paleocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum.?
From there you can try to read the actual article. If the journal is open access or if you?re on-campus at an institution that already subscribes to the journal via its website, you?ll be able to read it. However, if the website asks for money to read the article (often $30 to $40 per article), you have several other possibilities.
First, if you are affiliated with a college or university, the library might already have a subscription to that journal. Go to your library?s website and find the place to search by journal title. Sometimes the library might subscribe via the journal?s website or via another source.
Second, even though the journal?s website might be asking for money, there may be a copy of the article available for free online as the result of the author posting a copy to his/her website. Many publishers grant authors the right to do this, including Science. If it exists, a quick web search for the article title should discover the item. In this case, the article got a lot of news coverage, so a search for the article title pulls up a lot of news sites. But about halfway down the first page of results is a link from the University of Nebraska. Success! A PDF of a post print of this article is available from the University of Nebraska Lincoln Digital Commons. Look for .edu (colleges and universities) and .gov (PubMed and other government sites) in the search results to find free access sites ? those might be your best bets.
If that doesn?t work, you may still be able to access the journals your local college or university library subscribes to by visiting the library in person and requesting a guest borrower card.
Finally, although it might be a bit of delayed gratification, many folks have access to some kind of interlibrary loan services via their local library or the library at the college they are affiliated with. Public libraries may charge a fee for this service, but the fee will probably be lower than the fee charged by the journal website. College and university libraries rarely charge their students and staff a fee for interlibrary loan, and can often get the article delivered to your email inbox within hours.
Of course, once you get your hands on the article, you?ll have lots of avenues to explore. Close reading of the journal article may bring up interesting new concepts, and the list of references at the end can be an excellent source of additional information ? it just depends on exactly how interested you are in the topic!

How to achieve internet marketing success | Internet Marketing ...
With internet marketing, you already have several factors and aspects that you can take advantage of. First, you have the advantage of cost effectiveness. Second, you can set up the strategy a lot faster. Third, it is easier to handle and manage. However, the success is still not measurable at this point. The internet marketing success is only attained when several other factors are met and realized. This is why getting an expert to handle internet marketing strategies is very ideal. They have a thorough understanding of what the service is and what you can get from the clients. Here are some things that you can take advantage of if you want to succeed in the business:
Goals are necessary to reach internet marketing success. A business that only aims to be at the top without any perspective or idea of concrete goals will not fully attain success. Any person or business that desires to be at the top should have a set of short and long term goals. These goals are designed to help businesses become more successful in the industry. What do you want for your business? How do you want people to perceive you and your products? What are your goals online? Do you plan to stay online forever or do you also aim to expand to having other outlets or stores?
It is true that internet marketing has some inherent benefits that offline marketing does not have and we have already discussed some of these. It is essential though to understand that the success of any business is not guaranteed online. There are some hard things that the marketer and business have to overcome in order to succeed. First, one should have realistic goals. Again, lack of perspective draws one to think of very big ideas with very little results in reality. Next is knowing the fact from the myth. Internet marketing is teeming with falsehoods and ideas that seem too good to be true. One tip to achieve internet marketing success is that if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
To achieve internet marketing success, marketers and businesses need to be constantly be working on it. Having an expert to handle much of the implementation is already a big relief for the business owner. Patience and perseverance are necessary to be successful. Internet marketing is never fast and stratospheric rise to fame only comes with effective strategies and tons of luck. It does not mean that it won?t happen to you but be aware that it does not happen to most marketers and businesses. One should not be too rigid as well if they want to reach internet marketing success. Sometimes, it is necessary to be flexible in order to succeed online. Not all strategies will result to success and thus, it is better to know when to stop and change plans than to continue and simply hope for the best.
If you want true internet marketing success, do not hesitate to call us. We can help you with your goals to start learning and growing in the industry.

Typical Legal Practice Areas of a Queensland Regional Law Firm ...
Following on from the previous item, the second set of most commonly provided areas of law in a law firm is outlined here. We dealt in the first article with business and agricultural structures and arrangements, family and relationship law and not for profit. Leading law firms also offer services in the areas of property and conveyancing. This subject is regarding acting for people when buying or selling land and residential property. Many of us don?t realise the vast range of processes which are required in this area. Your lawyers can review a contract, keep a record of key dates, check on your financial requirements, help with transfer duty and the payment of this, organise and attend the settlement, advise the council on the change of ownership, and liaise with your bank.
Commercial and Property Law
Commercial and Property Law most commonly involves acting for people when they are developing property, or buying or selling rural property, industrial or commercial enterprises. Most of the processes are the same as for Property and Conveyancing, but may also include leasing, business structuring, advice on security, guarantees and loan documentation, information on consolidations or subdivisions and advice on land tax, rates, ST and other taxes.
Environmental and Development Law
This area of law may be needed if there are any issues regarding the use of the environment or the impact that building or running a business may have on the environment. Lawyers can help with clients in the Planning and Environment Court and represent clients confronted with environmental protection orders. Included in this area is also Local Government Laws. Lawyers can act for the local government in interpretation of local laws, and advise regarding civil litigation claims and freedom of information issues. For private clients, a firm may offer advice on government legislation, and local law and planning.
Native Title
Due to decisions in the High Court during the 1990s, there may now be Native Title over land that rural and mining clients will need advice on. With many grazing and term leases coming due for renewal throughout Qld, this is becoming a larger part of a law firm?s service provided to rural clients.
Tax Effective Estate Planning and Testamentary Trusts
Every family and financial situation is different from another. A lawyer dealing with this area of law will act for people in areas related to planning for their future and the future of their family. Lawyers will need to have a comprehensive idea of what each family?s wishes are. Services in this area would include wills, powers of attorney, health directives, trusts, succession planning, estate disputes and administration and superannuation nomination. This may also include rural and business estate planning.
Commercial Litigation
Commercial litigation means acting for people in business having disputes. This may be an individual, a contractor, shareholder, executor or company. Services provided in this area may be litigation or dispute resolution for construction, building, wills, trusts, contracts, debt collection, bankruptcy, workplace relations or corporate issues.
The content in this article is for information only. It does not represent legal advice and is provided solely for the information of the reader. Always consult a lawyer before taking any action on matters which affect your legal rights and obligations.

Alternate Publishing: Historical Fiction ? Fiction Notes
Continuing the series about Alternate Publishing. This is part 3 of 8.
Dodging Trends: Why I Turned to Self-Publishing
Guest Post by Chris Eboch
?If a book is good enough, it will find a home.? I?ve heard that a lot in the publishing industry, especially from editors and agents.
There?s just one problem. It?s not true.
After 15 years in this business, 12 traditionally published books, and years as a teacher through the Institute of Children?s Literature, writing organizations, and local colleges, I think I?m a pretty good judge of quality. And yet I?ve seen too many great manuscripts fail to sell. Maybe some authors just need to keep trying, but when multiple published authors say, ?I can?t believe her novel hasn?t sold yet,? you have to acknowledge that the publishing business judges by standards other than quality.
That?s not to say you can sell a terrible book. Rather, a manuscript has to be great AND trendy, or at least something editors and marketing departments predict will sell enough copies to make money for the company. When vampires were selling big, publishers released more vampire books.
I happen to like historical fiction. My first middle grade novel, The Well of Sacrifice (Clarion Books), came out in 1999. It?s an adventure set in ninth-century Mayan Guatemala, and because many schools teach the Maya in fourth grade, it?s still in print and I get a nice royalty check twice a year.
A few years ago, I wrote a mystery set in ancient Egypt. The Eyes of Pharaoh is better written than The Well of Sacrifice, since I?ve become a better writer. Yet wherever I sent it, I got one of two responses ? ?Historical fiction isn?t selling well these days? or ?We already have an Egypt book.?
I do know writers who have sold historical fiction more recently?mainly literary novels set in America in the last 200 years. And a couple of young adult novels have touched on ancient Egypt (well, at least on Cleopatra, who isn?t all that ancient by Egyptian standards). But despite great feedback on my story, despite teachers telling me they wanted the book for their classroom, despite the love many children have for ancient Egypt, I couldn?t sell The Eyes of Pharaoh.
Several years passed. I?ve pulled out other old manuscripts and decided they were? let?s just say, not worth even trying to revise. But I believed in my Egyptian novel.
In the meantime, the publishing industry was changing.
Self-publishing became a viable option, thanks to inexpensive print on demand and the rise of e-books. So why not publish The Eyes of Pharaoh myself? I traded manuscript critiques for professional copyediting and cover art. I learned about formatting. And two months after deciding to self publish, I held the book in my hands.
I haven?t done tons of promotion, but I e-mailed teachers who had previously contacted me because they were using The Well of Sacrifice in the classroom. I posted updates on Facebook and got The Eyes of Pharaoh listed in an e-newsletter about inexpensive e-books. I sold a few books at local events.
Will this make me rich and famous?
Not likely. But I?ve sold over 100 print copies of The Eyes of Pharaoh, which means I?ve bypassed the statistic that most self-published books sell fewer than 100 copies?and my book will never go out of print. Plus, 37 copies sold in the first three weeks of February, including a set of 20 that probably went to a school. At least I?m making a few hundred dollars a year, and people are reading my story. (All my self-published books are available as e-books as well, but The Eyes of Pharaoh has sold much better in print.)
I enjoyed the process enough that I have since released three other ?indie? books. Two are romantic suspense under my pen name when writing for adults, Kris Bock. Given the state of the publishing industry (lower advances, rights grabs, less promotion for debut books), I feel that writers of adult genre fiction have better opportunities with self-publishing, so I didn?t even try to sell these traditionally.
My other self-published book is a collection of essays on the craft of writing, called Advanced Plotting. This one was also hard to market traditionally, as there aren?t many traditional publishers who do writing craft books. I can draw on my reputation as a writing teacher and private critiquer, and promote it on my Write Like a Pro! blog, where I post essays on the craft of writing.
I?ve enjoyed the freedom and control that indie publishing provides. That?s not to say this is the right path for everyone. It?s not quick and it?s not easy. If you?re considering this route, you?ll need to learn a lot, be patient, spend time on publicity, and get lucky.
I have a few advantages. I have some reputation as a children?s book author. Hundreds of teachers and thousands of students have already read The Well of Sacrifice. Despite all those publishers who claim they already have an Egypt book, The Eyes of Pharaoh doesn?t have huge competition. Readers looking for a children?s book set in ancient Egypt are likely to find mine pretty quickly. The same wouldn?t be true for a fantasy or contemporary novel.
Not for Newbies
I also don?t recommend self-publishing for new authors, unless you?ve gone through extensive studies and gotten professional feedback that suggests you?re ready for publication. Being successful through self-publishing isn?t a shortcut ? it?s at least as hard as being successful through traditional publishing. It?s important to take time and get professional help.
Self-publishing isn?t for everyone. If you can get a good traditional contract, I encourage you to take it. Children?s books are more dependent on school and library sales, and on reviews in industry magazines, and these are much easier to get with traditional publishing. In addition, the e-book revolution has not yet hit children?s books as hard, and you can?t produce such inexpensive books with print on demand.
But things are changing quickly. Some schools are allowing and even encouraging students to bring in e-readers, and in a few years they may be standard in the classroom. We live in a world of expanding publishing opportunities.
Best of all, if you have a book that doesn?t fit market trends, but may still be able to find an enthusiastic (even if small) audience, you can bring the book out yourself. Knowing your work is being read ? and dare I say loved? ? is the best reward.
Stop by my website to download the ?Indie Publishing Worksheet? I developed to help students decide whether or not self-publishing is right for them, and if so, what steps to take.
