The b---- is moving out. ?ABC has evicted "Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23" after two seasons. The sitcom, which starred Krysten Ritter and "Dawson's Creek's" James Van Der Beek (playing himself), has been pulled from the schedule immediately, with the network doubling up on episodes of "Happy Endings" ?starting Jan. 29. While ABC had no comment, we're hearing the network has yet to officially cancel the series.?
"Sad to say ABC has pulled #Apt23 and will not be airing the 8 remaining episodes any time soon," Van Der Beek tweeted. "Translation: we've basically been cancelled."

He then continued, "I know most of you watched us on your own time &platform and that the competitive network scheduling game is irrelevant to you... But network TV is a business dictated by Nielson ratings. And while that's an antiquated business model, it's the only one they've got." This season of "Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23" averaged 3 million viewers and 1.2 rating in the adults 18-49 demo.
Van Der Beek asked fans not to bash the network for canceling the sitcom, saying, "You've got to give ABC props for ever picking us up in the first place. They took a shot at something original &edgy. I respect them for it."?
Just two weeks ago ABC President Paul Lee said no decision had been made about the future of "Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23" and "Happy Endings,"?telling reporters, "We love those two shows. They're incredibly distinctive, and they're water-cooler shows."
